European Strategic Research Agenda 6 (SRA6) released

The European Strategic Research Agenda 6, or SRA6, has finally been released! SRA6 reflects the state of the European Advanced Computing ecosystem and serves as a strategic roadmap that outlines Europe’s research, development, and innovation priorities in HPC. SRA 6 identifies where funding should be directed to achieve a competitive, sovereign and sustainable European HPC and AI ecosystem.

NHR@SW is very proud that Sarah Neuwirth from JGU Mainz has contributed as SRA6 working group leader and one of the thought leaders on I/O and storage. The new SRA 6 white paper dives into the groundbreaking advancements in I/O and storage technologies that are paving the way for the Exascale era and beyond. From tackling the challenges of scalability and energy efficiency to exploring innovations like multi-tier systems and computational storage, this work highlights the transformative potential of HPC in addressing the world’s most complex problems. The main results will be presented on January 31, 2025 in the ETP4HPC webinar “SRA6 - Storage and I/O / Programming Models”. Registration for the ETP4HPC webinar is now open!
